SportingNation.com helps people involved in grassroots sports in schools, universities and the community manage their active lives. It allows all team and individual sports to be organised in one place; keeps a permanent record of stats, personal fitness data and sporting connections; and allows highlights to be shared with family and friends.
This is the main ‘Headlines’ page which shows information relevant to the user. You will see details of upcoming fixtures, such as the start time, venue and team sheet (as well as be able to RSVP), and latest results (where you can review the match report), as well as general banter around these events. It will also show any new photos or videos that have been uploaded, or any new challenges.
Our Team picker allows the coach to see – at a glance - who in the squad is available for a particular fixture, and then to drag and drop the selected players into their starting position. When picked, the team sheet is published to the squad’s newsfeed. A list view is also available to print for notice boards.
This allows coaches to rate players on core - sport specific - skills, and players to see how these ratings change over time.
Create and manage standard round-robin tournaments, cups or ladders – all in just a few clicks.
Users can keep track of stats for team and individual sports. Privately monitor biometric and personal fitness statistics. A permanent record of sporting activity is built up over time.
Maintain a record of photos and videos, which can be uploaded from the touchline! In schools, coaches can choose to moderate any uploaded media.
Every team within SN automatically generates its own Team Home Page, with a unique URL – it’s no extra work for the coach as all the details are automatically kept up-to-date. As you can see here, they are customised with the clubs colours, and can be access restricted or made public to keep families in the loop.
